St. Elizabeth of was born in 1207 in Pressburg, Hungary now Bratislava, Slovakia. St. Elizabeth of's father was ANDREW II OF HUNGARY and her mother was GERTRUDE VON MERAN. Her paternal grandparents were BELA III OF HUNGARY and AGNES DE CHATILLON. She had three brothers and a sister, named BELA IV OF, Kalman of, Andras of and Maria of. She was the third oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Istvan of and VIOLANTE OF. She died at the age of 24 on November 17th, 1231 in Marburg, Thuringia (Germany).General Notes
