James Hamilton 
James was born in 1498 in Hamilton, Clydesdale, Larnarkshire, Scotland. James' father was 1st Earl of Arran James Hamilton. He had a brother and three sisters, named 2nd Earl of Arran James, Elizabeth, Jean and Helen. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 42 on August 6th, 1540 in Craignethan Castle, Lanarkshire, Scotland.
