Sarah "Sally" Jane was born on February 6th, 1807 in Bedford Co, Va. Sarah "Sally" Jane's father was Benjamin C. Ellis and her mother was Tellitha Tabitha Mitchell. Her paternal grandparents were Austin C. Ellis and Elizabeth (Betsy). She had four brothers and six sisters, named Thomas Mitchell, Pleasant, John T., Benjamin C., Nancy, "Polly", Elinor "Elender", Mary Emmaline "Emily", Julia Anna Nancy and Matilda. She died at the age of 83 on January 29th, 1891 in Bedford Co, Va. She was buried in Bedford Co, Va.General Notes
