Araminta Despain 
Araminta was born on April 4th, 1847 in Green County, Kentucky.1 Araminta's father was John B. Despain and her mother was Malinda A. Bazor. Her paternal grandparents were James Scott DeSpain and Susan (Sally) Peterson; her maternal grandparents were John Bazor and Mary. She had eight brothers and seven sisters, named James, Joseph, John, Henry, Hutty, Fielding, Lewis, Edward, Sary, Mary, Nancy, Polly, Sally, Rebecca and Patsy.
