His paternal grandparents were St. Ferdinand III Alonso of Castile King of Castile and Elisabeth (Beatrice) von Hohenstaufen. He had a half-sister named Beatriz of. He died at the age of 36 on April 25th, 1295 in Toledo, Castile, Spain.2 -
