Archibald Beaton 
Archibald was born about 1528 in Creich Castle, Fifeshire, Scotland. Archibald's father was John Beaton and his mother was Janet De La Haye. His paternal grandparents were Sir David Bethune and Janet Duddingston. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Robert, John, Gavin, David, Elizabeth, Christian, Janet and Grizel. He was the third youngest of the nine children.-
