John was born about 1769 and his baptism took place on January 31st, 1771 in North Bradley.1  John's father was Thomas Usher and his mother was Elizabeth Bevis.  His maternal grandparents were Henry Bevis and <Unknown>. He had five brothers named Henry, Richard, Henry, Job and Thomas.  He died in 1793.  He was buried on October 14th, 1793 in North Bradley.2
