Catharine's baptism took place on December 21st, 1794 in North Bradley.1  Catharine's father was Job Usher and her mother was Catharine Whatley.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Usher and Elizabeth Bevis; her maternal grandparents were Peter Whatley and widow Mary Moore. She had a brother named Job. She had three half-sisters named Ann, Elizabeth and Jane.
