Joseph was born on December 28th, 1705 in North Bradley.1  Joseph's father was Joseph Silverthorne and his mother was Martha.  His paternal grandparents were Roger Silverthorne and Mary Harper. He had two sisters named Mary and Ann.  He was the youngest of the three children.
