Benjamin's baptism took place on October 17th, 1758 in North Bradley.1  Benjamin's father was John Rains and his mother was Sarah Woley. He had two brothers and five sisters, named John, William, Ann, Mary, Jemima, Elizabeth and Sarah.  He died in 1758.  He was buried on October 19th, 1758 in North Bradley.2
