Mary's baptism took place on August 21st, 1774 in North Bradley.1  Mary's father was William Keates and her mother was Mary Bennet.  Her maternal grandparents were Joseph Bennet and <Unknown>. She had six brothers and five sisters, named John, Joseph, William, Samuel, James, Charles, Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth, Ann and Frances.
