Jane was born on January 21st, 1814 in The Rank.1   Jane's father was William Hussey and her mother was Mary. She had two brothers and four sisters, named John, Samuel, Elizabeth, Mary, Susanah and Ann.  She was the fifth oldest of the seven children.
