Mary was born about 1778 and her baptism took place on February 13th, 1780 in North Bradley.1  Mary's father was Peter Dix and her mother was Mary Maggot.  Her paternal grandparents were Moses Dix and Unity Whatley; her maternal grandparents were Phillip Maggot and Sarah Moone. She had a sister named Sarah.
