George was born about 1795 and his baptism took place on December 9th, 1810 in North Bradley.1  George's father was William Deacon and his mother was Jemima Pickard.  His maternal grandparents were James Pickard and Sarah Chepman. He had five brothers and two sisters, named William, Job, Edward, Thomas, Henry, Sarah and Mary.
