John's baptism took place on March 25th, 1781 in North Bradley.1  John's father was Richard Chivers and his mother was Charity Biggs.  His paternal grandparents were Alexander Chivers and Mary Palmer. He had a brother and two sisters, named Johanna, Sarah and Sarah.  He died in 1795.  He was buried on May 17th, 1795 in North Bradley.2
