Ann was born on January 17th, 1783 and her baptism took place on October 2nd, 1785 in North Bradley.1  Ann's father was Richard Butcher and her mother was Mary Butcher.  Her paternal grandparents were John Butcher and Mary Cable. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, Richard, John, Peter, Sarah and Mary.
