Mary was born on 5-Mar-1777 and was baptised on 6-Jan-1780 in Saint James Garlickhithe, London.1 Mary's father was William Goad and her mother was Darling Thomas. Her paternal grandparents were Goad and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were John Thomas and Elizabeth Ebbery. She was the second of eight children.
