George was born in 1792 and was baptised on 14-Mar-1792 in St Thomas Apostle, London.1 George's father was William Goad and his mother was Darling Thomas. His paternal grandparents were Goad and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were John Thomas and Elizabeth Ebbery. He was the youngest of eight children. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William, Samuel, Benjamin, John, Mary, Emma and Anna. He died, at the age of 58, in 1850.
