Charlotte was born on June 11th, 1812 and her baptism took place on August 25th, 1812 in Weld Chapel Southgate London.1  Charlotte's father was John Henry Powell Schneider and her mother was Ann Catharine Penelope.  Her paternal grandparents were John Henry Schneider and Anna Catharina Congreve. She had two brothers and two sisters, named George, George, Anna and Harriet.  She was the second youngest of the five children. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Henry, George, Robert and Elizabeth.
