George's father was John Thomas Tredray and his mother was Ellen Kedge. His paternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Isaac Kedge and Ann Eliza Lee. He had three brothers and six sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Percy, Cyril, Matthew, Florence, Lillie, Pops, May, Ellen, Eva and <Unknown>. He died at the age of 8 in 1900.¹
