Robert's father was Robert Hendry and his mother was Catherine. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Edmund, Robert, Elizabeth and Elizabeth.  He was the third oldest of the five children.  He died in June 1725.  He was buried in June 1725 in North Creak.¹
