Mary's baptism took place on March 30th, 1766 in Churchstanton, Devon (now Somerset).1  Mary's father was Thomas Doble and her mother was Ann Tracey.  Her paternal grandparents were William Doble and Sarah. She had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Thomas, Solomon, James, Polly, Ann, Sarah and Sarah.
