Susanna was born on February 1st, 1890.1   Susanna's father was Isak Charl Winterbach and her mother was Anna (Annie) Magretha Malherbe.  Her paternal grandparents were Dirk Jacobus Winterbach and Hester Francina Elizabetha Verster. She had two brothers and a sister, named Dirk, Petrus and Hester.  She was the second oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 92 on October 20th, 1982.  She was buried in Tulbagh.1
