Lourens, known as Loutjie, was born on March 26th, 1937 in Maitland.1   Loutjie's father was Johan George Winterbach and his mother was Cornelia Maria de Jager.  His paternal grandparents were Johannes Abraham Winterbach and Susanna Johanna Conradie. He had a brother and three sisters, named Johan, Rina, Bessie and Marié. He had two half-sisters named Doreen and Sylvia.  He died from a stroke at the age of 69 on July 18th, 2006.  He was buried in Maitland cemetery.1
