Christiaan (Gert) Jacobus Winterbach

Christiaan, known as Gert, was born on October 22nd, 1896 in Tulbagh, Cape Of Good Hope, South Africa and his baptism took place on November 30th, 1896 in NG Kerk, Ceres conducted by the reverend.¹   Gert's father was Hendrik Winterbach and his mother was Wilhelmina Carolina Botma. He had two sisters named Annie and Maria.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died at the age of 69 on November 23rd, 1965.  He was buried in Plumstead main cemetery.²
