Louis Alfred (Jim) was the eldest son of Mrs. A. R. Curnock and Mr. L. G. Curnock, of Bondi. Sydney

It was noted that, in the Northern Standard (Darwin, NT) newspaper, dated Tuesday 13 December 1932, that the Darwin Public School, in their Prize List, awarded a Louis Curnock a prize for 'attendance' of 209 days.

The Sydney Morning Herald (NSW) - Monday 27 May 1946 - Funerals...
"CURNOCK.—May 25, 1946, at his residence, Ettalong Beach. T. L. L. (Lou) Curnock (late of Darwin) dearly beloved husband of Muriel and father of James, Charles, John and Louise, grandfather of Marj, Jim, Ada, Margaret and Don, aged 67 years. At rest."
And the funeral notice recorded on the same day...
"CURNOCK.—The Funeral ol the late T. L. L. (Lou) Curnock of Ettalong Beach (late of Darwin) will move from R. H. Creighton's Funeral Parlour, Gosford. This Day, at 10 a.m. for Point Clare Cemetery. R. H. Creighton, Funeral Director, 'Phone, Gosford 45."
