יהודה was born in 2196. יהודה's father was יעקב ישראל and his mother is לאה. His paternal grandparents were יצחק and רבקה; his maternal grandfather is לבן. He is the fourth of seven children. He had five brothers and a sister, named ראובן, שמעון, לוי, יששכר, זבולון and דינה. He had six half-brothers named גד, אשר, דן, נפתלי, יוסף and בנימין.
