Petrus was born on May 18th, 1874 in Koersel.1   Petrus' father was Bernardus Raeyen and his mother was Maria Theresia Gaethofs. He had a brother and a sister, named Louis and Maria Nathalie.  He died at the age of 84 in 1958 in Borgerhout.1

‌Petrus and Maria Florentina were married in a religious & civil ceremony on April 30th, 1898 in Paal.1   They had four sons and four daughters, named Bernardus Franciscus, Petrus Josephus, Fernandus Ludovicus, Albertus Franciscus, Maria Theresia, Maria Clementina, Maria Angelina and Maria Johanna.
