Jean Michel Poels

Jean Michel was born in 1795 in Pael and his baptism took place on December 20th, 1795 in Paal.¹ Jean Michel's father was Henricus Poels and his mother was Marie Catharina Gaethofs. His maternal grandparents were Joannes Michael Gaethofs and Anna Catharina Put. He had five brothers and a sister, named Jean Antonius, Arnoldus, Casimir, Ferdinand, Gerard and Marie Agnes. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 56 on March 16th, 1851 in Lummen.²
