Jacobus was born on December 5th, 1758 and his baptism took place on November 10th, 1756 in Lummen.  Jacobus' father was Leonardus Nic. Caels and his mother was Maria Magdalena Iven.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 53 on December 5th, 1811 in Lummen.
