Young Dragging was born in 1752 in Cherokee Nation, Tennessee, USA.1   Young Dragging's father was Chief Dragging Canoe and his mother is Leaf.  His paternal grandparents were Chief Attakullakulla and Nione Ollie. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Young Dragging, Little Owl, Turtle At, Naky, Sarah Dragging, Sarah and Turtle At.  He was the third oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 40 on March 1st, 1792 in Lookout Town, Tennessee, USA.1
