WAS BORN IN PART OF FARMINGTON WHICH IS NOW BRISTOL. CT LIVED THERE TILL THE LAST PART OH HIS LIFE WHEN HE BECAME BLIND AND LIVED IN NEW HARTFORD.

General Notes

Israel was a revolutionary war vet. He served for three years - 1777, enlisting in Bristol, CT; discharged 1780. The discharge was apparently lost. When he died in 1841 in New Hartford, CT, she had to apply for his pension of $144.00 per year. She had to provide a wedding certificate, and list her kids to prove she was married to Israel. A man, Ira Hooker, who served with Israel stated under oath, that Israel indeed serve. He served in Ticondaroga.

Israel and Suzanna were married in 1780 in Farmington, CT. They had seven children (Anson1783-, Amzi (1784- ), Betsey (1786- ), Isaac (1788-(Living in New Hartford at age 55 years testified for his mother for the pension) , Jerah 1790-1805, Catherine (1792 - ), Suzanna (1796- ), Ely (1799-1805), Israel (1805-1806),and Lydia (1794 - ). She was the mother of my decentent Issac Barnes. He fathered Andrew how was the father of Trescott Clafyn Barnes. He had a daughter of Josie who was my mothers grandmother. Much of this information can be found in a Church in Connecticut. Suzanna's father, Moses Hills was Suzanna's father who gave them land in Farmington, CT in 1783.

In 1843, age 81 years, was trying obtain this pension. As far as we can tell, she was successful
