Mary Ann Southerton

Mary Ann was born on September 25th, 1831 in Petworth, Sussex, , England.¹ Mary Ann's father was James Southerton and her mother was Mary Rapley. Her paternal grandparents were William Southerton and Lucy Elliott; her maternal grandparents were Charles Rapley and Anne Long. She had three brothers and four sisters, named James, George, William Henry, Harriett, Ellen, Sarah Ann and Christiana. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 76 in March 1908 in Brighton, Sussex, , England.
