Antanas Matelis

Antanas was born on June 25th, 1893 in Pikčiūnai.  His godfather was Antanas Lukoševičius and his godmother was Veronika Lukoševičiūtė.  Antanas' father was Stanislovas Matelis and his mother was Benedikta Lukoševičiūtė.  His paternal grandparents are Motiejus Matelis and Gertrūda Aniulių; his maternal grandparents were Stanislovas Lukoševičius and Elžbieta Cvirkų. He had two brothers and a sister, named Ona, Pranas and Marijona.  He was the second youngest of the four children.
