Ivor was born on July 17th, 1928 in Medindie, Adelaide, SA.1 Ivor's father was Charles Henry POLAND and his mother was Violet Constance HILLIER. His paternal grandparents were Alfred Malcolm POLAND and Alice Rose FARR; his maternal grandparents were Harry Alfred HILLIER and Martha Ann PICKLES. He had a sister named Naida. He was the younger of the two children. He died from cancer at the age of 49 on March 18th, 1978. He was cremated on March 20th, 1978 in Centennial Park Cemetery, Pasadena, SA.2 2 Death Notes
