Edgar was born on January 19th, 1878 in Wards Belt, SA.1 Edgar's father was William James PARHAM and his mother was Mary POINTON. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Silas PARHAM and Mary WHITE; his maternal grandparents were Jeremiah POINTON and Frances BROWN. He had a brother and six sisters, named Norman, Fanny, Hilda, Ethel, Myrtle, Norah and Alice. He was the oldest of the eight children.-
