John's father was Charles MORRELL and his mother was Jane Bradford WEBBER.  His maternal grandparents were William Wood WEBBER and Henrietta Hanna FIRN. He had a brother named Charles.  He was the younger of the two children. He had three half-brothers named Walter, Alfred and Arthur.  He died at the age of 88 on August 14th, 1943 in Glen Osmond, SA.  He was buried on August 16th, 1943 in West Terrace Cemetery, Adelaide, SA.^2 3
