James Tompkins

James was born on January 1st, 1862 in Singleton, , New South Wales, Australia. James' father was William Tompkins and his mother was Jane Bartholomew. His maternal grandparents were George Bartholomew and Jane Catt. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Thomas, Stephen, Ann, Margaret Elizabeth and Hannah. He was the fifth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 81 on March 16th, 1943 in Narribri, , New South Wales, Australia.
