William French

William was born in 1826 in Bexley, Kent and his baptism took place on December 2nd, 1827.  William's father was Henry French and his mother was Mary Anne Pannell.  His paternal grandparents were William French and Maria Woodhams; his maternal grandparents were James Pannell and Frances Unknown. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Henry Pannel, James, George Frederick, Emma and Selina Jemima.  He was the second oldest of the six children.
