Louisa was born on February 19th, 1865 in Leipzig (Leibzig), Bessarabia, Russia (now Ukraine).1  Louisa's father was Friedrich Jon “Fred” Sprecher and her mother was Louise “Christine” Gruning (Sprecher) Grunning.  Her paternal grandparents were Gottfried Sprecher and Anna Katharina Sokolosky (Sprecher). She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Christian, Friedrick, Gottlieb, Carl, Samuel, August, Dan, Anna, Juliana and Christina.  She was the tenth oldest of the eleven children. She had a half-brother named Michael.

Louisa's family

Louisa and William were married in a religious & civil ceremony on August 12th, 1888.1  They had three sons and four daughters, named Wilhelm, August, Heinrick, Louise, Anne, Pauline and Katherina.
