Friedricka was born on August 14th, 1874 in Josephdorf, Bessarabia, Russia (now Ukraine).1   Friedricka's father was Gottlieb Reinhold Sprecher and her mother was Karolina Hille (Sprecher).  Her paternal grandparents were Friedrich Jon “Fred” Sprecher and Louise “Christine” Gruning (Sprecher) Grunning. She had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Daniel, Admont, Edward, Fredrich, Christina, Magdalina, Salome and Bertha.  She was the oldest of the ten children. She had a half-brother named Emanuel.  She died at the age of 21 on October 27th, 1895 in Kulm township, Hutchinson County, South Dakota, USA.1

Friedricka and Simon were married in a religious & civil ceremony on January 8th, 1894 in Kulm township, Hutchinson County, South Dakota, USA.1
