William Harper 
William was born in 1826 in Penkridge, Staffordshire and his christening took place on November 9th, 1826.1 William's father was James Harper and his mother was Sarah Lees. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Harper and Hannah Clift; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Lees and Mary. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, James, William, Edward, Emily, Hannah and Martha. He was the second oldest of the eight children.-
