James Butler 
James was born in 1885 in Wortley, Leeds, Yorkshire.1 James' father was James Butler and his mother was Harriet Brooksbank. His paternal grandparents were William Butler and Mary Arendall; his maternal grandparents were James Brooksbank and Caroline Roberts. He had a brother and seven sisters, named Mark, Mary, Caroline, Rose, Florence, Matilda, Nellie and Louie. He was the third youngest of the nine children.-
