Bracha was born in 1887 in Drohobycz.  Bracha's father was Moses Eliezer Kestenbaum and her mother was Zisel Meir.  Her paternal grandfather is Avraham Aron Kestenbaum and her paternal grandmother was Scheindel Chane Meir. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Nachman, Nechemia, Avraham, Salomon, Yosef, Berl, Feige, Tova Tauba and Sheindel Hanna .  She died in the Holocaust at the age of 56 in 1943.
