Thomas was born in 1809.  Thomas' father was Thomas Bolton and his mother was Hannah Henry.  His paternal grandfather was David Bolton. He had a brother and a sister, and also five siblings of unknown gender, named Bolton, Eleanor, Bolton, Bolton, Bolton, Bolton and Bolton.  He died at the age of 62 in 1871.
