Orville  was born on August 21st, 1886 in New York.1 2   Orville 's father was Howard H Beyer and his mother was Katherine E (Beyer).  His paternal grandparents were Charles  Edmund Beyer and Mary Ellen Merrill (Beyer). He had two brothers and two sisters, named Arthur, Howard, Ida and Emma.  He was the third oldest of the five children.
