Grandpa Vasilios was the youngest of the brothers and Sisters I remember him very well. With his traditional lamiotiki Skoufia and lots of buttons in his trousers and vest to the point they nicknamed him O koumpotos meaning (the buttoned up). He liked to drink and dance a lot he would go to the city of Lamia and go from one tavern to the other but he was always following the same route that his horse knew which would be the next Tavern .and take him there And when he wanted to dance he would take off his shoes first so to be free and light to dance better He joined and served the Greek Army in 1909 and I am sure he served also in the Balkan wars in 1912-1918.
