Hedwig von Lothringen

Hedwig was born in 1170.¹ Hedwig's father was Duc Frédéric von Lothringen I and her mother was Ludmilla von Polen. Her paternal grandparents were Duc Matthias de Lorraine I and Bertha von Schwaben. She had a brother and two sisters, named Frederic, Judith and Kunigunde. She was the second oldest of the four children.
