Hedwiga was born in 0910 in Nordhausen, Saxony, Germany.1   Hedwiga's father was Holy Roman Emperor Henry (The Fowler) of Germany I and her mother was Saint Matilda Of Ringleheim.  Her paternal grandparents were Duke Otto (The Illustrious) Of Saxony I and Hedwige Hathui Edith Of Germany; her maternal grandparents were Count Theudebert of Ringleheim and Ludmilla Ragnhildis of Ringleheim. She had two brothers and a sister, named The Great, Heinrich and Gerberga.  She was the oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 54 on March 14th, 0964 in Aix-le-Chappelle, France.1
