Constance ferch Owain was born about 1216 in Powis, Welshpool, Montgomeryshire, Wales. Constance ferch Owain's father was Gwenwynwyn ab Owain ap Owain Cyfeilioc and her mother was Mary (or Margaret) (Margaret) Corbet. Her paternal grandparents were Owain Cyfeiliog ap Gruffydd and Gwladus Verch Llywarch. She had two brothers named Madog ap Gwenwynwyn and Brenin of South Powys. She was the youngest of the three children. She died in Malpas, Cheshire, England.
